RRR: Repair, Reuse, Recycle

Under the impetus of the textile and footwear industry, JULES & JENN is committed alongside other brands to the RRR campaign to promote the repair and second life of textiles and footwear.
Why this campaign and this commitment?
Every year, more than 100 billion items of clothing are sold worldwide and 2.1 billion tonnes of textile waste are produced.
In France, the quantity of waste has doubled in 40 years, with a production of 324.5 million tonnes: we are buying more and more products, more and more frequently.
Waste reduction is one of the objectives set out in the Circular Economy Roadmap (FREC). Whether produced by households, artisans, retailers, businesses, or local authorities, waste reduction represents a major challenge, both in terms of environmental and health impacts and the preservation of natural resources.
From Friday, October 2 to Sunday, October 10, 2020, let's join forces and give our products a new life to reduce this waste!
Let's repair
Misconception : "A broken shoelace equals a ruined pair of shoes." Really? Just another shoelace and in 5 minutes, it's done! You save on a new pair of shoes and, in your own way, help the planet.
Key figure : 91% of French people repair and alter their textiles and shoes.
And JULES & JENN? Since our launch, we've made every effort to offer you durable products. However, to ensure these products last a long time, it's essential to maintain and care for them. That's why we've prepared a care guide for each type of leather, to help your shoes and leather goods last.

Let's reuse
Misconception : "Thrift store clothes or shoes are dirty, full of holes, or stains?" Really? Surprising when you think of all the stylish looks you see on the streets! And as a bonus, the solution is cheaper and makes you unique.
Key figure : 44% of French people bought second-hand clothes in 2019.
And JULES & JENN ? Our products used during photoshoots, our prototypes, or products with a tiny defect... there's no way we're throwing them away! For a year now, we've been working with the Oxfam Dressing association, to whom we donate all these products to keep them out of the trash and make people happy.
Let's recycle
Misconception : "I throw away all my textiles and shoes with holes or damage." Really? No, all textiles and shoes can have a second life if they are dropped off at collection points. In good condition, they will be reused; worn or torn, they will be recycled!
Key figure : With more than 46,000 collection points in France, 99.5% of items dropped off will have a second life! Find the point nearest you on the Re_Fashion website.
And JULES & JENN ? We consider the final recycling of our products from the very beginning. Indeed, the most difficult part of recycling is the need to separate the materials before they can be processed. That's why we favor models that use as few different materials as possible.
