Immediate boarding for Italy!
As you may have noticed, until now, we produced our timeless pieces in 7 European workshops, located in France, Spain & Portugal. Recently, a new addition has been added to the list: the Atelier in Florence, Italy ! This family workshop of a handful of artisans is dedicated solely to the design of traditional Tuscan flat sandals, in natural dipped leather. We fell under the spell of this extraordinary know-how and the precision of the details visible on each of our pairs of sandals: a passionate work, respectful of artisanal methods.
We'll let you discover all the stages of manufacturing these flat sandals in full-grain dipped leather!

Craftsmanship is also and above all teamwork!
Full-grain dipped leather
Dipped leather is dyed in the bath, without an additional finishing layer. No surface film prevents the leather from breathing and developing a patina; its appearance and feel remain natural and sensual. Demanding flawless hides, we therefore use full-grain leather.
Zoom in on the manufacturing details
JULES & JENN sandals are made with the greatest care by our artisans, according to the rules of the art.
To enlighten you, let’s discover in detail the stages of their manufacture .
Based on the drawing, the pattern maker creates the pattern for the leather pieces. Using punches, the cutter cuts out each part, manually or with a press, from the chosen material, avoiding any defects in the leather.

Next comes the dyeing: each piece is dipped in a bath, then air-dried to ensure a uniform color.
Drying the molded sandals
Once the mold is removed, the sandal is pampered for an impeccable finish. It's an instant favorite! Wrapped in tissue paper, it's delicately placed in its JULES & JENN box.
Over the years, these artisans have developed an incomparable patina and depth of color. A unique expertise that has won us over; we hope it will do the same for you!

The pieces are then patinated by hand. All those that make up the upper are mounted on a mold, adapted to each size, then fixed to the insole.
After gluing and drying, the leather outsole is laid and sanded for a perfect finish. A final drying process completes the assembly.
