Basketball: The timeless essential!

Everything you need to know about the essential basketball!
Rubber, discovered in the 15th century, is an essential element that allowed the creation of the famous sneaker , a silent and grippy shoe model thanks to this famous material which constitutes the sole. The first sports shoe appeared in 1868, created by the American company Cande Manufacturing in New Haven.
The sneaker, considered a sports shoe above all, was reserved rather for athletes, and more specifically for basketball players: they allowed for greater comfort and limited foot perspiration thanks to the rubber sole. The famous Converse, for example, was born in 1908 in Massachusetts and was also intended for basketball players. Its creator initially launched it to protect the ankles with the high part of the shoe. You can see in the photo below some Converse dating from 1918, which look very similar to today's models.
During the 20th century, brands such as New Balance and Spring Court, the French company that invented the tennis shoe, emerged. Puma and Adidas were founded in 1948 and 1949 respectively by brothers Adolf and Rudolf Dassier. Nike, created in 1972, revolutionized the world of sneakers by inventing the air-cushioned shoe, the famous "Nike Air."
It was from there that the sneaker began to be worn by everyone, not just athletes: the urban sneaker was called the sneaker . Today, it is an essential fashion accessory for men as well as women.
