The Oxfam Dressing Room x JULES & JENN

We are proud to announce our collaboration with the charity Oxfam France, on the occasion of the opening of its brand new boutique in Paris:

Oxfam's Dressing Room!

For Le Dressing d'Oxfam, we donated all the products we can't sell on our website: prototypes, products used for photoshoots, or those with minor defects. Since our launch, these products had been piling up, because for us, throwing them away was out of the question! Since these items are completely wearable, Le Dressing d'Oxfam, which sells second-hand items at very attractive prices, is the ideal place to give them a second life!

Find some of our shoe and accessory models in the Oxfam Dressing Room, starting Saturday, December 14 at 10:00 a.m., avenue Parmentier in Paris!

Why Oxfam?

Founded in 1942 in England, Oxfam is an association fighting against poverty and social injustice. It took off in the 1970s with the opening of charity shops, or second-hand stores, throughout England. This week, Oxfam is opening its sixth charity shop in France! Under the name "Dressing d'Oxfam," this store offers clothing, shoes, bags, and accessories donated by individuals, as well as by ethical brands like JULES & JENN!

With this store, Oxfam helps make fashion more accessible through low prices and also commits to the fight against overconsumption. Oxfam stores allow consumers to exercise their civic power in a simple, concrete, and effective way by supporting an alternative mode of consumption.

Furthermore, the profits from the store will then be used for all of the actions of the Oxfam France association.

The two facets of our approach

The goal of this collaboration is to promote, through consumer behavior, a more sustainable and inclusive society. By regularly donating items to Oxfam, we aim to act primarily on two fronts: the fight against waste/zero waste and the promotion of greater social justice.

As part of a broader approach to reducing our impact by limiting our waste, it's a no-brainer to avoid throwing away items we can't sell through the so-called "traditional" channel. By giving a second life to our products, such as our prototypes, photoshoot items, and customer returns with minor defects, we avoid destroying items that have already been produced.

By receiving items as donations, Oxfam can offer very attractive sales prices. High-quality, marketable products become accessible to people who may not be able to afford them at their normal price. Even on a small scale, this is a way to offer greater social equity.

Starting Saturday, December 14, we invite you to come discover Le Dressing d'Oxfam, to find a selection of our articles, as well as products donated by other ethical brands, as well as by individuals. This can also be an opportunity for you to directly donate your clothes, shoes, bags, and accessories that you no longer wear, in order to fight together against hyperconsumption!
