The factory, located in Naples, was founded 30 years ago and specializes in the production of leather goods for women and men. Over the years, it has successfully reinvented itself year after year and continues to offer quality products, entirely made in Italy, as only an artisan workshop can.
The workshop and JULES & JENN
The manager of this workshop was born into a family of artisans who made shoes in a very popular neighborhood of Naples.
After returning from his military service, he was offered a job in a leatherwork workshop. He quickly learned all the secrets of the trade, how to design and create new models. He fell madly in love with the profession. He often told his colleagues, "I love this job, and remember that love without passion is madness!"
It is this passion for a job well done, between tradition, local craftsmanship and innovation that has pushed us to embark on this new partnership.
The making of the handbag
Based on the drawing, the pattern maker creates the pattern of the different parts that will make up the bag. Using punches, the cutter cuts out, manually or with a press, the different parts of the model in the chosen material. The pieces must be carefully cut to avoid natural defects in the leather. Each piece of leather is individually prepared according to the desired result: trimming the edges for sewing, threading, dyeing the raw-edged edges, gluing and drying the reinforcements, adding decorations. The pieces are then sewn together. Finally, the bag is pampered to remove the last traces and imperfections. Slipped into its JULES & JENN OEKO-Tex certified organic cotton pouch, the bag is now ready to rest on your shoulder.
