In recent years, the Made in France label has become increasingly important in French purchasing behavior. Following politicians' rhetoric about "economic patriotism" and advertising campaigns encouraging us to buy French to support our jobs, the Made in France label is increasingly favored by the French. Indeed, the "Made in France" label on a product indicates that it underwent its final stage of processing in France. The OFG label was created to highlight products that are truly made in France. This means that the essential stages of the product's manufacturing are carried out in France. In our sneaker example, the cutting, stitching, assembly, and finishing must take place in France. The label also guarantees that more than 50% of the product's cost price was acquired in France. The Pro France association created this label to guarantee a higher level of standards than those of Made in France!
This label guarantees consumers the true origin of the product, and also demonstrates respect for French workers in the workshops and factories where the products are made. Audits to obtain the label take place within the manufacturing facilities.
Thanks to this label, the consumer will be able to:
