JULES & JENN now has its seventh partner workshop, still located in Europe, this time in Florence, Italy, the birthplace of Italian leatherwork! Galliano, one of the workshop's co-owners, answers our questions.
A real pleasure… We’ll let you discover it!
– Tell us about your experience…
I co-own two workshops around Florence, where I oversee and manage the business side of things. Working with these talented artisans is a pleasure!
– Why did you choose this profession?
Passionate about beautiful materials and a lover of human contact, I've always been restless; the flexibility of this profession immediately appealed to me. Passionate for 20 years, I want to perpetuate the tradition of true manual work.

– For you, what is THE key skill?
Finishing expertise: delivering high-quality products is vital for the perfectionist that I am!
– Take us into your work environment…
The family workshop is made up of three artisans. Their passion is passed down from generation to generation and fuels endless creativity; ideas flow!

– Tell us about your collaboration with JULES & JENN
A constructive and simple collaboration: the same love for a well-made product and respect for craftsmanship. They understand that a pair of sandals takes a day to make – each piece of leather is dyed, dried, and then patinated by hand.
– An anecdote?
During their last visit, they were photographing everything and were already impatient to receive their creations!
– What do you think about Slow Fashion?
I fully support this movement: consuming responsibly is a duty, but purchasing must remain a pleasure.
