What shoes for a wedding?

Attending a wedding (or being the star of the show!) is always a special and emotionally charged occasion. In an era where "dressing up" is becoming increasingly rare, choosing the right clothes and accessories for our seasonal celebrations is crucial. Whether you're the bride or groom, a bridesmaid, or a guest, selecting wedding shoes is no small feat, but by following a few simple tips, you'll be able to dance the night away without any discomfort.
Are you the bride? Pay attention to comfort!
It's strongly advised against giving in to your first impulse buy, that stunning pair you can't walk in or that isn't quite your size but is 50% off… Let's not forget that it's essential to be comfortable in your wedding shoes. Our first piece of advice: don't buy your bridal shoes at the last minute. It's best to wear them several times (and for several hours) before the big day to break them in. Our second piece of advice is to choose high-quality genuine leather, which will be both durable and supple. Regarding the style of the shoe, if you're not afraid of a bit of height, don't hesitate to opt for heeled sandals, like our strappy heeled sandals in cream or metallic gold leather that combine retro style with ankle support, or for quality high heels . White, which used to be the standard, is now giving way to cream, nude pink , or gold tones for a brighter and less traditional touch.

For brides who are not at all comfortable with heeled sandals, who are very tall and/or have a slightly shorter husband, ballet flats (often invisible under a long dress) can be a refined and comfortable option.
And for those who aren't keen on dresses or simply want to stand out on their wedding day, it's worth knowing that getting married in trousers, a jumpsuit, or a pantsuit is irresistibly trendy! Eco-conscious companies like the French brand 17h10 have even emerged to offer an elegant and modern alternative to the traditional wedding dress. And what shoes should you wear with trousers, you ask? High heels!
Are you invited? Yes or no to high heels?
As a guest, the first thing to consider when choosing shoes for a wedding is the formality of the event. If the wedding is very formal, you can opt for high heels, such as our timeless heeled sandals in leather or suede, available in a variety of colors. With their 7 cm heel, they offer the perfect elegance and height for a wedding outfit while remaining stable and extremely comfortable enough to wear again throughout the year. For an even more minimalist and glamorous look, our new sleek heeled sandals in metallic or patent leather will make a statement!
If the wedding is more relaxed, you can opt for shoes with a low or medium heel for a chic look without the risk of feeling overdressed. Our pink leather mid-heel sandals, for example, are an excellent choice for a "wow" effect at a summer wedding, thanks to their luminous metallic color. Try them with a flowing skirt or trousers that show off your ankles for a trendy bohemian look.
If the party is more fashion-forward, our retro-inspired platform sandals also offer an ultra-feminine and assertive alternative. And they also come in orange!

Also, our new cut-out pumps enhanced with a stable 7cm heel will enhance your silhouette without compromising on comfort… What more could you ask for?
In all cases, make sure that the shoes you choose fit your body shape well and that the shape and size are suitable for your feet.
And what about the guys?
For men, whether you're the groom-to-be or a guest, the event is guaranteed to be a success if your shoes perfectly complement your outfit. Again, several factors come into play when choosing the ideal pair. The secret? Prioritize comfort and elegance.
If the wedding is rather formal, opt for high-quality leather shoes to complement your outfit. Oxford shoes, for example, are a classic in men's formal wear; the Blake construction of their leather sole also makes the shoe very durable.
If the wedding is more relaxed, beautiful white lace-up sneakers paired with a suit (the Brad Pitt style on the red carpet) can also be a hit in front of the town hall!
