NO to Black Friday!

What is Black Friday?
Since the 1960s, Black Friday has been established in the United States as every Friday following Thanksgiving. Initially, the term "Black Friday" referred to the period when stores hoped to "get out of the red" and achieve a positive balance, which was written in black ink.
The principle behind this day, so popular with Americans? A day of massive discounts, resulting in huge crowds and fierce competition between retailers.

In several US states, it's a public holiday, and some companies even give their employees the day off to shop as they please. It's often chaotic, and Black Friday can turn tragic. For example, in 2008, a man opening the doors of a Walmart in New York State was crushed by the frenzied crowd rushing to grab the deals.

What is Green Friday?
Green Friday is a movement created to raise awareness about the excesses of increasingly irresponsible consumption. It's not about making consumers feel guilty, but about empowering them by appealing to their free will as active consumers.
Companies participating in the operation will not offer discounts to their customers on Black Friday but commit to donating 15% of their day's revenue to the association of their choice committed to responsible consumption.
Why are JULES & JENN joining Green Friday?
Because, at JULES & JENN, by offering slow fashion, products that are durable in quality and style, we work every day for more responsible consumption.
Because, at JULES & JENN, by banning sales and promotions, we fight against overconsumption all year round.
Because at JULES & JENN, by knowing exactly how, by whom and under what conditions our products are made, we produce as locally as possible a fashion that respects its artisans and our environment.
In short, in line with our values, we are proud to join this young Green Friday movement. We want to demonstrate that there is a way to consume more responsibly, through our products, but also through our commitments.
On November 23, as throughout the year, our prices will remain the same, and we will donate 15% of the day's revenue to the association Collectif Éthique Sur L'Étiquette, which also fights for more responsible fashion.

The Ethical Fashion Collective

Created in 1995 and a member of the European Clean Clothes Campaign network, the Collectif Éthique Sur l'Étiquette (Ethical Fashion Collective) works to promote respect for human rights at work in the fashion industry and the right of consumers to information on the social quality of their purchases.
Since its creation, the ESE Collective has been asking companies present in France and major French and international brands to ensure the production conditions of the goods they market, and to guarantee that their purchasing practices promote social progress among their suppliers and subcontractors.
He leads public awareness campaigns and challenges companies to take measures guaranteeing respect for human rights at work throughout their production chains. He fights for the emergence of a transparent and responsible fashion industry.
