Guaranteed French Origin

Did you know? Our unisex sneakers and socks made in France have long been certified OFG – Origine France Garantie !
But what does that label on your product really mean? Is it a responsible purchase or a marketing technique? Here's some information to help you understand…
Made in France
In recent years, "Made in France" has become increasingly important in French purchasing habits. Following politicians' rhetoric about "economic patriotism" and advertising campaigns encouraging us to buy French to support jobs, "Made in France" is increasingly favored by the French. But beware of scams!
When you make a purchase that you believe is made in France, thanks to that famous "Made in France" label, you might sometimes be surprised to learn where the product in question is actually manufactured!
Indeed, the "Made in France" label on a product indicates that it underwent its final stage of production in France. For example, if you buy a pair of sneakers labeled "Made in France," the cutting and stitching of the shoe could be done in India or Turkey. The final step—gluing the upper to the sole in our sneaker example—simply needs to be done in France for the "Made in France" designation to be perfectly legal. Feeling misled? Fortunately, not all products are like this.
How can consumers verify this information? One of the most reliable ways, in our opinion, is through labels. Products bearing a label are thoroughly vetted by independent auditors before being awarded the label.

Guaranteed French Origin (OFG)
The OFG label This label was created to highlight products that are truly made in France. This means that the essential stages of the product's manufacture are carried out in France. In our example of sneakers, the cutting, stitching, assembly, and finishing must all take place in France. The label also guarantees that more than 50% of the product's cost price was incurred in France. The Pro France association is behind this label, which aims to guarantee a higher level of quality than simply "Made in France"!
This label guarantees the product's true origin to consumers and is also proof of respect for French workers in the workshops and factories where the products are made. The audits for obtaining the label are indeed carried out within the manufacturing facilities.
Thanks to this label, the consumer will be able to:
1. Know the origin of the product he buys
2. Buy a product made in France that meets high social and health standards
3. Contribute to environmental preservation by reducing CO2 emissions through shorter transport distances
Of course, the OFG label promotes the maintenance of employment in France as well as the recruitment and development of new employees.
