Fashion Revolution 2018

A look back at an eventful week!
From April 23 to 29, the 5th edition of Fashion Revolution took place, this now international initiative to demand more transparency from fashion brands.
At JULES & JENN, we are of course 100% in agreement with this movement! And for us, transparency is part of our daily life as a fashion brand from January 1st to December 31st!
It is therefore with immense joy that we fully participated in this 2018 edition of Fashion Revolution France.

On April 24, 2018, exactly 5 years after the Rana Plaza tragedy, our March along the Parisian canals allowed us to commemorate the 1,135 textile industry workers who died in the collapse of the building in which they worked.
Dressed in blue, like their work clothes, the objective of this march was to raise awareness and share the depravities of an industry that can lead to real human catastrophes.
On April 25, as part of an evening organized by the ethical fashion platform SloWeAre, our co-founder, Jennifer, participated in the conference debate on the emergence of more ethical fashion.
Alongside other founders of responsible brands and consumers of ethical fashion, the participants detailed their journey towards more ethical fashion.
This was followed by a completely transparent discussion about the obstacles faced by young responsible fashion brands, and a very inspiring conclusion about consumer expectations, who are looking for more brands founded on values similar to our own 🙂

And throughout the week, other demonstrations took place, with the aim of promoting this civic approach and raising awareness of the situation of fast fashion industry workers around the world.
Many people came together: individuals, associations, companies of all sizes, with the same goal and in a warm atmosphere.
In short, it was a great moment, despite the sadness of the event that caused it.
In short, BRAVO and see you next year!
