Lots of projects in 2020!

The entire JULES & JENN team wishes you a very happy 2020!
Since our beginnings, our fashion has progressed along the path of ethics and responsibility. Even if the road is long, and sometimes winding, we constantly strive to improve in terms of transparency , proximity, circular economy, waste reduction and production that respects people and the planet.
The new year is therefore the perfect time to present some of our projects for 2020!
Job creation
The first effect of our development is the creation of jobs, within our company JULES & JENN, and also in the 12 partner workshops that manufacture our products, in France, Italy, Spain and Portugal.
In 2019, approximately 20 people worked full-time for JULES & JENN throughout the year, whether it was to research materials, design and make products, prepare your orders, answer your questions or set up collaborations with our partners.
In 2020, more than fifty people will be working 100% for JULES & JENN, to meet the increase in your demand and thanks to your support!
Proximity
Every week, you ask us if we have a store where you can try on shoes or see the size of our bags. Invariably, we reply that we only sell online…
But that will change in 2020!
To meet you, we will be opening a permanent space in the heart of Paris. You will be able to meet and chat with our team, discover our collection, and of course try on any style of shoe.
We won't tell you any more for now, stay tuned…
Made in France
Producing shoes in France at an affordable price is harder than it seems! The French shoe industry has shrunk dramatically since the 1980s, and rebuilding skilled teams takes time and investment. Since we started three years ago, we've been looking for French workshops to meet this need. And we've finally found the perfect one, in the Cholet region!
You may have already seen our white leather sneakers at our first Made in France trade show last November. After months of research and refinement, we were proud to present our new product, 100% made in France! Available for men and women, they are currently available for pre-order, with shipping expected in early March 2020!
Furthermore, since our launch, all our bags and belts have been made in France. In 2019, we launched our new bag collection, Les Ravissantes, and in 2020, new bag lines are planned… and not just for women!
Circular economy & Zero waste
In addition to the natural materials we already use, we want to create more products made from recycled materials. A new line of unisex bags is in development, and we plan to present it to you this spring. New shoes made from recycled materials should also be launched by the end of the year.
To reduce our waste, and especially our plastic waste, we are launching a "Stop Plastic" project to eliminate all plastics (packaging, shapes, reinforcements, etc.) from our production chain. We are working closely with our workshops to implement this project. Therefore, all our belts will now be packaged directly at the workshop in the GOTS-certified organic cotton pouch that you receive at home.

Transparency
Always with complete transparency, we want to give you a behind-the-scenes look at our second-tier suppliers. You'll discover, in particular, the details of how our recycled tire sole and recycled PET canvas are made.
You will also have the opportunity to discover what goes on behind the scenes at our warehouse in the lovely city of Montpellier, during a report on the preparation of your orders.
Anti-Waste
To avoid destroying our unsold stock, and given the success of our Solidarity End-of-Line sales , we will be collaborating with other organizations within this program. As a reminder, the Solidarity End-of-Line sales feature our last remaining items, of which only a few are available. Our customers can benefit from a 30% discount on these final pieces, and for each pair sold, a donation is made to the Mode Estime workshop , an organization that promotes social reintegration through textile production. We will also be collaborating with organizations working to protect the environment.
In a similar move, since mid-December, we have donated all our prototypes, photo shoot products, and products with minor defects to Oxfam's clothing bank in Paris. In 2020, we will be able to make our products available to other shops within the association.
Every day, we strive to move towards more responsible fashion. Step by step, we have some lovely surprises in store for you in the new year!
